| About the trip
The trip itself is
a 7-day trip including your travel days. We will greet you upon
arrival to either King Salmon or Dillingham (depending on your
trip). We will then get on a small float / bush plane and fly to the
start of our trip. We will spend a night or two at our first
location (due to the excellent fishing) and then venture onto the
next camp. The fishing is superb as we make our way down river.
We camp safely along the shore each night where we enjoy a
delicious dinner and talk about who caught the biggest fish of the
day! We catch and release all of the native fish, a policy that went
into effect in 1996 for the Alagnak. This policy has in return made
the Rainbows bigger than you could imagine. It’s a pretty neat
feeling catching a huge Rainbow that has been around for so long.
You will be allowed to keep your daily bag limit of Salmon at the
end of the trip if you wish, however, we will only keep salmon to
eat at the end of each day due to the nature of bears and the
environment we are living in for the trip.
This is a true Alaskan experience. We float between 20-30 miles
of river each day. Both rivers float through the heart of Alaskan
fishing and wildlife. They are remote trips with access only
attainable by floatplane. Every guest receives hands on experience
while catching the biggest trophy Rainbow of their lives! |
